Well-being week 2018

As part of mental health/well-being week, we focused on celebrating ourselves and differences. During worship, we discussed the importance of identifying your feelings, developing coping strategies and talking to somebody.

Both EYFS/KS1 and KS2, created videos to highlight this key message. To watch these videos, please click on the links below.

Within class, we created: happiness bracelets, worry teddies, mood catchers, coping wheel of strategies and jar of affirmations.
We held a competition in which the children had to design a superhero that represented themselves and had  a special power. The winning entries had their designs printed onto key rings and tote bags.
We held an informal drop in which all parents and carers were welcome to attend. This was an opportunity for parents/carers to look at what support we offer the children in school, look at examples of work and videos created by the children in relation to well-being week, and an opportunity to explore the life-event packs that we offer to families. Also very importantly a chance to have a chat regarding any further support which parents felt might be helpful for their child.
