Today we are going to do some sketching, to begin with we’ll recap some sketching skills which you may find useful today.
I’d like to begin by having a go at each of the sketching techniques shown in the table below:

There is a worksheet which you can print or you can have a go on a piece of paper.
Creating a shading guide.
Leave block 1 blank (the lightest shade). Using your preferred shading technique, fill in block two a shade darker than the first. Move onto block three, creating a shade darker than block two; you may need to add more pressure or try crosshatching to create a darker shade. Repeat until all blocks are complete.

Follow each of the steps below to create your own sketch of a WWII plane. Once your sketch is complete, use the shading techniques to add details, like the example above.
