Today we will be learning about the perimeter of simple shapes.
First watch the YouTube video by clicking here, to learn about what perimeter is and how we measure it.
Next, work out the perimeter of the shapes below. You will need your addition skills again here! If the numbers are a little more tricky, use column addition to help you! Note down the answers in your workbook.
Extension : If you have a ruler / tape measure, why not find some simple rectangular/ square objects around the house and find the perimeter to the nearest centimetre?
