Thursday

Your first task in maths is to complete 30 minutes on times tables Rockstars. Remember it is very important to keep practising your tables as they will help you in a lot of areas of your maths work.

Today in maths, we will be focusing on how to find the area of a parallelogram.

A parallelogram is a four-sided shape which has opposite sides that are equal and parallel.

To calculate the area of a parallelogram, you need to remember one simple formula which is to multiply the base and the height.

There are 9 questions on the worksheet below. Have a go at practising finding the area of parallelograms and then on Monday, we will focus on it in more detail looking at reasoning and problem solving.

You can either type your answers on the word document or you can write your answers in your book. There is no need to draw each shape as it is on the worksheet for you.
