Tuesday 29th June

Today we are going to practice starting sentences in different ways.

Look at the basic sentence on your worksheet - Peer crept through the tunnel.

Start the sentence each time in a different way:

Verb - doing/action word (crawling, shaking)

Adjective - describing word (petrified, terrified)

Adverb - how it is being done (slowly, anxiously)

Preposition - where (In the cave, underground)

Alliteration - same sound (poor petrified Peer)

Your challenge, once you have completed your sentences on your worksheet, combine 2 ways to make a super sentence.

Example :  Poor, petrified Peer slowly crept through the tunnel.
