In today’s lesson, we are going to be learning how decimals are related to fractions.
It is important to remember place value as we will need to know what each digit represents.
For example:
This whole has been divided into 10 equal parts.

There are 10 equal parts altogether and 3 have been shaded so the fraction would be 3/10 which is the same as 0.3 as a decimal.
