Value in Everyone

Yesterday, you interviewed a family member/ family friend all about their career.

Now it’s time for you to think big!

What would your dream job be?

When I was growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. It was important that I knew what I needed to do in order to achieve my dream job. Becoming a teacher didn’t happen overnight, I needed to work extremely hard for a lot of years to make it happen. I am so pleased that I stayed focused because I am now in a very rewarding career that I love very much.

When choosing a career,  it is important to stay motivated (ways to keep yourself on track so you can achieve your dream job). Give yourself small targets and make sure you celebrate each one when you achieve them.

Now it’s your turn! Think BIG!

What would be your dream job when you are older?

Where do you see yourself in 20 years? How old will you be? What will you be doing?

Create a picture of you in your dream job and then write a paragraph explaining what it is, what type of things you need to do in your role, why you want to do it and what skills you will need to be able to do that job.

Make sure it is clear to anyone looking at your work of art what your dream job is and what type of things you have to do in your role.

Why do you want to have this job? Add motivations around your picture.

On the word document below there is a template that you can use.

You can either type up your work onto the word document or you can write it in your exercise book.
