RSHE - 2026 Update
Statutory changes to be implemented by September 2026:
The government has introduced new Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education guidance, that we’re required to follow from 1st September 2026. Because of this, we’ve reviewed our curriculum and policy, so we can be sure our provision is appropriate for our pupils.
Miss Elcoate led a parent consultation meeting on Wednesday 10th June at 2.45pm where she shared what will be taught, demonstrated how this will be carried out in an age-appropriate way and gave parents/carers the opportunity to view teaching resources, ask questions and share any feedback.
Following recent statutory updates, our primary curriculum remains largely unchanged as we have already successfully implemented previous foundational topics (including health and body safety education). Our main area of focus moving forward will centre on empowering our students with vital skills in relationships education and online safety.

Overviews and materials used within the teaching of RSHE:
We are dedicated to providing a broad, balanced, and supportive RSHE curriculum. Our foundation is built on the KAPOW educational scheme, enhanced by programmes including KidSafe and Operation Encompass.
Please explore the subpages- to the side of this information within 'in this section'- to view our yearly overviews and topic materials.
Please note, due to copyright restrictions, certain KidSafe curriculum overviews and materials cannot be hosted on our website. We welcome parents to visit the school office, where full paper copies are available to view. Physical copies of all online overviews are also available upon request at the office.
