Meet Our Family Worker – Miss Alex Stobbs
Hello, I’m Alex Stobbs, the Family Worker at Jarrow Cross CofE Primary School. I proudly joined the Jarrow Cross family in May 2024 and have been delighted to meet and support our wonderful school community. Prior to this role, I gained extensive experience with the Early Help Service and Key Community, delivering family intervention work—a field I am deeply passionate about.
In my role, I work closely with families, providing early intervention support aimed at improving outcomes for children and their families while addressing potential challenges before they escalate. This support includes parenting guidance, help with housing concerns, financial advice, assistance with school-related issues, health appointments, and referrals to external agencies.
I collaborate with a lot of services but some of the main ones are Healthy Minds, Life Cycle, CYPS, Youth Justice, Escape Interventions, RESTART, the school nursing team, Bright Futures, Early Help, Social Care, and Fire Safety Interventions to ensure families receive the right support when they need it.
