Letter to Parents from Mrs McBeth 30.4.21

                                        Friday 30th April 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

Just a little reminder that next Monday is a Bank Holiday and so the children will not return to school until Tuesday 4th May.

As I am sure you are aware that unfortunately this week for the first time since November, we have had to close bubbles down in school. As you can imagine this is very upsetting for all those involved, children, parents and staff alike. As shops, leisure facilities etc begin to open up this was maybe in some ways not a surprise, but we would obviously urge you to continue to be cautious when out and about as always keep your child at home if they begin to develop any of the recognised symptoms of Covid 19.  Please be assured that in school we continue to rigorously follow our Covid 19 Risk Assessment.

Next Friday, May 7th is World Math’s Day. To celebrate, linked to our hugely successful times tables rockstar programme, we are asking the children to come to school dressed as a rockstar! Children who do not want to dress up can simply wear a t-shirt, joggers, trousers etc in other words non uniform. Throughout the day we will be taking part in lots fun games and competitions with the aim of finding out who are our very own Jarrow Cross Rockstars!

Finally, I know you will join with me in wishing Hebburn Town FC the very best of luck in their upcoming FA Vase Cup Final. Their much long awaited trip to Wembley and match against Consett AFC finally takes place on Monday 3rd May. For those of you who are interested and would like to watch the match, it is being streamed live for free on BT Sport (Sky channel 413 and Virgin Channel 527) at 1pm.

Have a good weekend,

Kind regards,

Mrs McBeth
