, we have made an excellent start to this academic year and have already began learning about our fantastic topic 'World War Two'. We have investigated when and how WWII began and enjoyed starting our class novel ‘Friend or Foe’. We spend some time getting to know our new teachers and classmates, discussing things like our favourite books and authors.
In October, we began investigating evacuation and wrote diary entries, letters and poetry based around it.
In maths we have been solving challenging place value problems and consolidating our knowledge of multiplication and division all whilst developing our knowledge of reasoning. In PE, we have focused on hockey and have learnt how to control and pass the ball accurately.
November began with us creating poppies to complete our displays to show respect to everyone who gave their lives in war.
We couldn't let you leave without a leavers service. Although 6W couldn't be there in person, they were certainly part of our awards giving.
