The Friends of Jarrow Cross is a group (run by volunteer parents) for parents, grandparents, carers and anyone else with an interest in meeting new people, making friends, sharing ideas and helping to support each other and the work of the school in a friendly, informal atmosphere.
We are run separately from school, have our own committee, constitution and bank account. We are not a PTA, however, we work closely with Mrs McBeth (Headteacher) and staff to ensure that we are supporting our parents, children and our school effectively. We have been running for nine years and whilst we are a small group, we are achieving big things.
Our Annual General Meeting is held each October and is a great way for us to celebrate our achievements. We hope you'll join us.
We have our own Facebook group called "Friends of Jarrow Cross Parent Group", may we ask you to join the group so you can ask questions, help each other, share information, events and ideas. We will also be helping to support our parents who have their own businesses, so please get in touch if you would like more information.
We hold regular fundraising events where we sell refreshments, donate cakes, toys, books, lucky dips, bric-a-brac, good quality outgrown uniform and so much more.
We would love you to join us at our fun events.
If you'd like to get involved in joining of friendly group of volunteers please get in touch for further information. If you have any suggestions about how we can help support our families or any fundraising ideas, we'd love to hear from you.
Thank you from all at The Friends of Jarrow Cross!
Money raised goes towards purchasing items for our children to enjoy such as the sensory corridor, reading books, atlas', dictionaries, thesaurus', busy bee tabards, a red bench for KS1, sensory garden, two memory bears and hoodies.
