Year 1
In September, all of Year 1 settled in well and got used to their new classrooms. They have enjoyed learning all about how Paddington Bear arrived in London and produced some wonderful descriptive writing about the Gruffalo. The children have enjoyed being creative and followed instructions to make their own rockets.
In October we have been learning all about Autumn. We enjoyed our autumn walk around the school grounds, looking for signs of Autumn. We made pictures with all the things we found on our walk and made some classroom displays. In Art, we have learning about the artist David Hockney and created some art work in his style. In our PE lessons we have been learning how to send and receive the ball. Finally, Year 1 worked very hard to learn their lines for our first ever virtual Harvest Festival! All the children took part and it went onto our school website for the whole school to see.
