-Oil Honey or golden syrup -Carrots -Salt and pepper -Paprika -Chilli Flakes
Creamy Cheesy Cauliflower
-Cauliflower -300ml single cream or milk -Grated Cheese -Salt and Pepper
-Chives and parsley (fresh or dried) -Lazy garlic
What to do:
Honey Chilli Carrots
- Line a small baking tray with tin foil and drizzle over a little bit of oil.
- Chop up your carrots into chunks and put them onto the tray.
- Season the carrots with 2 grinds of salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle over some paprika and chilli flakes (1tsp roughly each), if you have any.
- Drizzle over some golden syrup.
- Put the tray into the oven on a medium-high heat for about 30 minutes or, until they look cooked.
Creamy Cheesy Cauliflower
- Line a casserole type dish (make sure it’s oven proof) with tin foil (don’t have to but just to save added mess) and drizzle over a little oil.
- Chop up your cauliflower into little florets and add them into the casserole dish.
- In a small pan, add in 2 grinds of salt and pepper, single cream (milk if not) and 1 tsp of garlic.
- Chop up parsley and chives or sprinkle in 1tsp of each into the jug.
- Turn the hob onto a low-medium heat and mix regularly.
- Grate cheese and put in 2-3 handfuls into the small pan.
- Make sure you regularly mix the sauce because otherwise the cheese will stick to the bottom of the pan and burn. Continue to do this for 5 minutes or so.
- Turn the heat off and pour the sauce over the cauliflower (an adult will need to do this).
- You could then sprinkle over a little bit more cheese onto the cauliflower to make it extra cheesy.
- Sprinkle on two extra grinds of pepper and then put the dish into the oven for 30-40 minutes or, until it looks ready.
Serve your two sides with some meat or a nut roast.
Bon Appetit!
