Vex Go Competition
What a brilliant day for the Year 5G children at the Vex Go Competition. We had two teams of six children and out of 24 teams who took part, we came 3rd and 17th! An amazing result for our first time in this competition. The children had built their robots and also built the competition field, which represented an underwater lab. They had various tasks to complete which consisted of delivering 'sensors' to a marked place, opening a clam to deliver the pearl and to repair a water pipe. The tasks were completed by driving and by using a block based code called Scratch. Lots of teamwork and problem solving were involved and the resilience and perseverance has been amazing to see. Well done to all.
