Career Aspirations

The careers education and guidance programme at Jarrow Cross seeks to positively support students to acquire the educational, social and employability skills necessary for lifelong success in a diverse and changing world of work.

We are establishing strong, meaningful links with further education settings, local businesses and industry leaders, through employer engagement opportunities. The children access age-appropriate career-related activities that support curriculum planning.

We aim to inspire every student through more real-life contacts with the world of work to help them understand where different choices can take them in the future and we wish to ensure that our students are not restricted by circumstances or location from becoming self-confident, well-educated and enterprising individuals.
