Also, next week we are taking part in Brake’s Kids Walk to support Brake, the road safety charity. On Wednesday 11th June each class will be setting out on a walk around the school area. The walk will be timetabled throughout the school day. The aim is to ensure we cross roads safely using pelican crossings, footbridges etc.
On average, more than 15 primary school children are harmed on roads in Britain every day – that's equivalent to a whole class of children every two days. We are doing our bit to try and make sure this never happens in our community. You can help us by supervising your child closely on roads and continuing to teach road safety as you do.
As the term continues we will obviously update you with any future events.
Finally, as the weather is now becoming warmer could you please ensure your child has sun tan lotion applied before coming to school and provide them with a water bottle and sun hat if necessary.
Kind Regards,
Mrs McBeth
