I want to be ..... an engineer!
Year 1 had an engineer talk with them today about different building structures. The children were able to identify how shapes are used in different ways and could name shapes used on the Tyne bridge and the London Eye. They each created a pyramid, using only wooden dowells and elastic bands and then they had the challenge to create bigger pyramids by joining all their pyramids together. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have now decided they all want to be engineers!
