Friday 1st May
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you have all had a good week, you are fit and well and the week has been as stress free as possible for you.
As I know you will be aware next Friday’s Bank Holiday is in celebration of VE Day. Therefore, all of next week’s year group plans will be VE Day themed. The tasks/activities include the opportunity to research key people such as Winston Churchill, create flags and bunting, bake a wartime recipe, design and create junk model aeroplanes to name but a few. We hope you enjoy the change in focus and would love to see some examples of the children’s work and creations. Please send any photographs to the Distance Learning account which we will then share with everyone via the website. We will also be celebrating VE Day in school next week with our Key Worker’s children culminating in a social distancing street party next Thursday.
I hope you have all been able to access our new Facebook page Bee Calm Bee Happy. For further information regarding how to join please refer to the website. The page has been specifically set up to support the emotional wellbeing of both parents and children during this difficult period. On the page there is a lovely message from Mrs Jackson’s explaining the support she can provide.
Please also remember, staff are in school each day to deal with any problems or issues which may arise, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Take Care
Mrs McBeth
