Letter to Parents from Mrs Mcbeth 23.11.20

Dear Parents/Carers,
It is with great sadness that I am writing to inform you of the sudden death of our Chairman of Governors Malcolm Davison. Malcolm was a founder member of the Governing Body, having been a part of the Board since the opening of Jarrow Cross in 2002, and part of the Ellison Governing Body prior to that. Malcom was a huge supporter of the school and this always shone through his kind and caring demeanour.
He is a huge miss to our school community and Jarrow Cross will never be quite the same again.
Many of you will know Malcolm as Mr Davison an English teacher at Springfield Comprehensive and then Jarrow School. This weekend The Jarrow Memories Facebook Page has been full of lovely comments from former pupils which obviously shows the high esteem in which he was held.
I know you will join us by having Malcolm’s wife Wendy and daughter Joanne in your thoughts at this incredibly sad time.
