Letter to Parents from Mrs McBeth 3.4.20

Friday 3rd April

Dear Parents and Carers,

As the second week of lock down draws to a close, I hope you are well and continue to stay safe.

I hope you are finding the weekly plans helpful, but please remember the message from  last week wherever possible do not make school work an area of argument and conflict, as I said sometimes it may be better to simply play games or watch a movie. Also thank you for using the new distance learning email account, the staff really do enjoy having that communication with the children.

School will continue to be open during the Easter holidays, with the exception of Good Friday and Easter Monday, as previously this is for the children of key workers and other identified children.

Regarding the Free School Meal vouchers, the email addresses of parents of children who receive Free School Meals (this does not include Reception, and KS1 children in receipt of Universal Free School Meals) have been uploaded onto the Government website. From this point it is very likely that you will receive the information rather than school, so please keep checking your emails.

As Easter is fast approaching, next week we will be inviting the children to decorate an egg or bonnet and send photographs of their creation to the distance learning email account. We will then share them on the website. Parents are more than welcome to join in too! We will send out a text message next week as a reminder.

I would like to finish by thanking you for all the kind words and messages the staff and myself have received over the last week, they really have meant a lot to us.

Again I hope to see you all very soon but in the meantime take care and please do not hesitate to contact school with any problems or issues.

Mrs McBeth
