Monday 4th January
Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and I wish you well for the new year.
Well it is the start of another new term and certainly not the start we would have wished for. The uncertainties continue and I totally understand the anxiety the current situation will be causing. Please note our updated Risk assessment is available on our website.
Regarding the opening of our school, I am sure you will appreciate that this is a rapidly changing situation. At present the majority of schools in South Tyneside and importantly all those schools in the local vicinity are open. At the moment Jarrow Cross has no staffing issues and therefore is able to open to all year groups. However, I am aware this may change very quickly and school may become open to Key Workers and Vulnerable children only.
Should this be the case, in order to help with organisation if you are a Key Worker could I please ask you to complete and return the Key Worker Information sheet asap which is available on our website in the letters section in News and Events or collection from the office. If you are unsure about the status of your job please click on the following link.

Can I again thank you for your support today and over the weekend period. Your understanding of what a challenging time this is for schools is a huge support to us all.
Take care,
Mrs McBeth
