Mrs McBeth's letter about the Euro Football Final

Friday 9th July 2021

Dear Parent/Carer

If your child is a football fan and likely to be staying up after 11pm on Sunday to watch the final, then you have school’s permission for this one time only, to let them stay in bed a bit longer on Monday morning. School will start at the usual time, but we would rather have children rested and arriving a little later when they are ready to learn than absent all day or grumpy!

Its 55 years and for most of us the first time and for all we know could be the last, we will ever experience England reaching a major football final so let them watch it, talk about the National Anthem, about pride and if it doesn’t go our way resilience as although for some if it doesn’t it may feel like it’s the end of the world - it really isn’t!

Unfortunately, this does not include Year 6 who are going on a trip on Monday morning so need to be in bright and early!!

Mrs McBeth

HeadTeacher

COME ON ENGLAND!
