Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend, as mentioned in last weeks newsletter here is some further information about our upcoming Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
On Thursday May 26th we would like to invite all parents and carers to join us for a whole school picnic, games and activities on our school field. The picnic will start at 2.15pm.The children will firstly come out onto the school yard to sing the National Anthem and then make their way onto the field. School will provide picnic food for the children and the Friends of Jarrow Cross will be providing refreshments for adults. The event will run until the end of the school day. We would encourage all children to wear red, white and blue that day!
Also during that final week of half term, the children will be taking part in many Jubilee based activities eg studying a country from the Commomwealth and creating portraits of the Queen. There will also be a Jubilee inspired School lunch on Wednesday 25th May.
We hope you can come along and join us to celebrate this important event. If due to poor weather we are unable to hold the picnic on the school field, the event will take place in the children’s classrooms. Parents will however still be able to attend.
