We had our Internet Safety today in school which was led by the amazing Year 6 children.
In reception, the children learnt about telling a trusted grown up when things didn't look right.
In Year 1 they learnt about contact from strangers, inappropriate games, and being asked for personal information. Again, the message was to tell a trusted grown up if anything didn't look right.
In Year 2, the children explored what to do about downloading apps, fact versus opinion, and being asked to meet up. And, once again, they were taught that they must tell a trusted grown up about these things. Key Stage 1 and Reception learnt a little ditty - Before you tap and click... You need to stop and think. And TELL someone.
In Year 3/4 they learnt about online identity and what freedom of expression means.
In Year 5, they looked at all of the ways that we can have fun online, but to remember the importance of staying safe online.
A massive thanks from me to all of the Year 6 children and the Year 6 staff.
