  • There will be some new “routines” such as regular Handwashing and ‘Keeping to your bubble’ in place.

Behaviour

  • We know that some children may be unsettled at first and so we will be planning activities to support their emotional health and wellbeing.
  • We will look out for any signs of distress and would ask you to let us know if you have noticed any changes in their behaviour at home.
  • We want children to feel safe but we don’t want them to feel anxious so any new rules or behaviour expectations will be reinforced in a positive manner. We’d ask you to try to do the same.
  • We will let you know what the children are doing well and, if there is anything they need to do in a safer or more positive way we will work with you to help them do that.

Break times

  • Children will wash their hands before and after any break and lunch time.
  • Children will stay in their “Bubbles” and not mix with children from other Year Group Bubbles

  • Each bubble will play in a designated place in the yard and children will not mix between Bubbles.
  • Children will only use toilets allocated to their bubble.

First aid / child with symptoms

  • We have designated first aiders and Paediatric first aiders who will wear appropriate PPE when dealing with a child with symptoms or have simply grazed their knee etc.
  • If your child develops symptoms during the day you will be asked to collect them immediately. A member of staff will remain with them until they are collected. You will need to ring 111 to arrange a COVID test. If the test is positive you must inform the school and the child and family should remain in self-isolation for 14 days.

Cleaning

  • Additional cleaning measures are in place

  • Toilets will be cleaned regularly
  • All classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned each day.

Home time

  • Children will leave at different times to avoid congestion.
  •  Please try not to arrive early. If older siblings are collecting your child, they must arrive at the correct time your child is leaving school. They will not be allowed to congregate on the school premises waiting for school to end.
  • To keep everyone safe please leave the school grounds as quickly as possible.
