Tuesday 9th May
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am really sorry but I am writing to inform you that unfortunately we will be unable to reopen school tomorrow. As you can imagine this is a highly frustrating situation for us all, but unfortunately as I am sure you will understand we are bound by Health and Safety regulations which forbid us to open unless we have enough hot water for the whole school and a fully working kitchen. As a working Mam myself I totally understand the frustration of having to quickly sort out child care and very importantly the financial losses which may be a consequence for your child not being at school. Again I apologise profusely.
We have been assured that maintenance will take place tomorrow, as the part required to fix the issue will arrive in the morning, therefore school will reopen on Thursday, but obviously we will keep you informed as the day goes on.
Please note that as this week is National Standardized Testing Week for Year 6, school will again be open for our Year 6 pupils.
I thank you for your patience and ongoing support in this frustrating situation.
Kind Regards,
Mrs McBeth
