Dear Parents/ Carers,
As the term draws to an end, can I again take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and understanding throughout this term.
It cannot be denied this has been a difficult term, especially at times out of our control when children have needed to self isolate and your kind words and support have been greatly appreciated by all the staff and most specifically myself. Also, the way in which the children have adapted to their new daily routines is to be commended- handwashing and bubbles are now just part of everyday school life!
Regarding after Christmas unfortunately it would be foolish to not acknowledge the possibility of having a number of positive Covid 19 cases in school. Whilst we clearly want and hope everyone has a lovely Christmas shared with family and friends, I also know everyone will be mindful of the ongoing risks and continue to strive to keep our community safe.
Please log onto our website to watch our Christingle Service and Reception’s Nativity Play. As with so many things we have not been able to invite you into school or church so we are bringing our Christmas events to you. I hope you enjoy them.
On behalf of all of the staff I wish you and all of your family a very Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all when school reopens on Monday 4th January 2021.
Best wishes,
Mrs McBeth

Wednesday 11th December 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
Can I just begin by thanking you all for the positive comments about our Winter Walk. It was a lovely day, despite the weather during the afternoon and I am sure you will agree that the donkeys Hobo and Bandit were a big hit.
However, I am also writing to inform you that in light of yesterday’s announcement by the Government giving schools the power to make the last day of term Friday 18th December an INSET Day we have decided to follow this advice. This means the last day of term will now be Thursday 17th December, however children will return to school on Monday 4th of January as this day will no longer be an INSET Day.
We fully realise this is very short notice and unfortunately may cause some inconvenience. It has been made purely to try and support everyone to have the family Christmas which is so well deserved.
Regarding reporting arrangements of symptoms or a positive Covid Test over the holiday period, please read the following information.
Further arrangements for next week-
As you are aware The Year4/5 Christmas party has been changed to Thursday 17th December, therefore Christmas Film Day for Y4/5 only will be on Wednesday 16th December.
Christmas Film Day for the rest of the school will be as planned on Thursday 17th December.
If children wish too they are more than welcome to wear a Christmas jumper etc to school on their film day.
Kind Regards,
Mrs McBeth
Y4/5E are sadly missing out on the Winter Window Walk at school but we thought, if Y4/5E can't come to school, why not bring the Y4/5 Winter Window Walk to you!
We couldn't miss out on the opportunity for you to show off all of your hard work creating the 12 Days of Christmas inspired windows. Fenwick's windows have got nothing on us!
Email our distance learning account to let us know if you managed to find the 3 sheep who are playing hide and seek in our windows. Most importantly, try and spot where you appear!
Take care and stay safe! I can't wait to see you all next Wednesday!
