A fantastic result for our Girl's football team yesterday!
Wed 13 Mar 2024The girl's drew 1, lost 1 and won 4! They are now placed joint 3rd in the league.

The Friends of Jarrow Cross Easter Fair
Tue 12 Mar 2024We are excited for The Friends of Jarrow Cross Easter Fair and would appreciate any donations of chocolate eggs/bars for our fundraising raffle/tombola. If any of parents of a small business or crafters would like a free table please contact a member of the Friends of Jarrow Cross by Thursday 14th March. Thank you.

Dear Parents/ Carers,
We will soon be holding our Parent/ Teacher Discussion sessions for children in Reception to Year 6. As usual they will take via phonecall. Please watch out for a text or email over the next few days from which you can then book your appointment. Please note that as phonecalls will be from a mobile they call may appear as a withheld number. As last year we have added an extra time slot for the Year3/4 classes. Please ignore any reminder message which states meetings are to be held in the classroom, this is simply automated by the company’s system not school. Please see below for dates and times of available appointments.

MP Shares our work!
Fri 01 Mar 2024Last month was Mental Health Week and the theme was 'Your Voice Matters'.
We thought it was important to inspire the children to use their voices to feel heard.We explored what we mean by protected characteristics and each year group took part in amazing discussions and completed activities around their theme.
Year 2: Race Year 3/4: Age Year 5: Gender Y6: Disability (hidden)As you can see from the photograph below, the work of year 6 has been noticed by Jarrow's MP and she has shared it on social media.
Year 6 designed a more inclusive disability logo as well as posters to help raise awareness of hidden disabilities.

FAB Awards 2024
Wed 28 Feb 2024Yesterday, a group of children attended the FAB Awards to represent our school to receive an award for our hard work and commitment around anti-bullying and inclusivity.
The children who attended the event also had to share and perform a presentation about the work we have done in school.
As always, the children made us extremely proud! They even had a shoutout from one of the lead organisers to say that our presentation was 'show stopping' since they 'nailed it'.Watch out for our photograph of us holding the trophy standing alongside Councillor Jane Carter and Adam Ellison in the Gazette.
